Developer Etco Homes has put the finishing touches on The Alfred, the company's latest for-sale development just north of Melrose Avenue in Beverly Grove.

The project, located at 725 Croft Avenue, consists of a pair of four-story buildings in an L-shaped arrangement which also fronts Alfred Street. The property features a total of 31 residential units in a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom floor plans, including flats and townhome-style layouts.

Kevin Tsai Architecture designed The Alfred, which is centered on a landscaped courtyard. The finished product closely resembles conceptual renderings which depicted contemporary low-rise structures clad in stucco and textured red brick.

"Landscaping fills the space between the two structures and the textured brick facades of the buildings frame a private courtyard," reads a narrative from the firm's website. "The private moments created surrounding the exterior juxtapose the expansiveness of the interior units.  Flats and townhouses build up the unit mix with graciously sized spaces and interior finishes which complement the exterior architecture. In the conception of the project, sensitivity to maintaining the spirit of the neighborhood was a source of inspiration."

Etco Homes, headquartered in neighboring Beverly Hills, has previously developed , two similar for-sale projects on Croft Avenue and Sweetzer Street. Elsewhere in the Beverly Grove, the company has built a 37-unit complex on Hamel Avenue.
