Jamison Properties has completed the Maya apartments in Koreatown, the company's first ground-up construction project.

Located at 535 S. Kingsley Drive, the project consists of 72 market-rate apartments, including one- and two-bedroom units ranging between 480 and 1,265 square feet.  Other features within the seven-story building include a common fitness center, an underground parking garage, a rooftop deck, and a central courtyard with a swimming pool.

Santa Monica-based KFA Architecture designed the building, which is wrapped with white and gray metal panels, porcelain tile and wood accents.

Wilshire Construction served as Maya's General Contractor.

Though Maya is Jamison's first ground-up development, the company has already rehabilitated two former office buildings in Koreatown as apartments.  Most recently, Jamison opened 110 units at the Abbey, a historic 1927 structure.

The company is also partnering on Circa, a two-tower development near L.A. Live in Downtown Los Angeles.
