At the northwest corner of Del Mar Boulevard and Los Robles Avenue in Pasadena, construction is complete for the Del Mar, a new condominium complex from developer Fortune Time USA and construction firm Giantech.
The project, which replaced a surface parking lot, consists of a four-story structure featuring 55 one-, two-, and three-bedroom dwellings. Per a project website, the Del Mar includes a combination of one-story flats and townhomes.
The finished product closely resembles conceptual renderings unveiled in 2021, which depicted the Del Mar with a white stucco exterior, lined with cantilevered glass and rail balconies. On-site amenities include a swimming pool, a fitness center, and a series of landscaped courtyards.
The Del Mar sits on a block which has seen the rise of two similar developments over the past few years, including the 388, a 1980s office building-turned-condominium complex which opened its first phase in 2019. A second phase of the project, which will transform an adjacent parking garage into housing, is currently under construction.
Additionally, yet another multifamily residential development is slated to rise just north of the Del Mar, replacing an office building at 235 S. Los Robles Avenue.
