After three years of construction, developer Gelt, Inc. has completed work on the Watermark apartments, a mixed-use development in Reseda.

The six-story building, which replaced an auto repair garage at 6611 N. Reseda Boulevard, consists of 254 apartments above roughly 7,700 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and parking.

A leasing website for the Watermark advertises a mix of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom floor plans ranging from 397 to 1,332 square feet in size.  Rents for the property start at $1,652 per month, and run as high as $3,472 per month.

The Albert Group Architects designed the contemporary podium-type building, which spans a roughly 2.5-acre just north of the Los Angeles River channel.  The height of the new development scales down to shorter townhome-style units along a single-family zone to the west, and features outdoor spaces such as a courtyard, a swimming pool, and a small rooftop deck.  Other residential amenities include a fitness center and a community room.

The Watermark is Gelt's first ground-up development in the Los Angeles area, but is not expected to be the last.  The company is planning a similar mixed-use project at the intersection Reseda Boulevard and Clark Street in Tarzana.
