In Silver Lake, construction is now complete for Vica, a mixed-use housing development at 3400 Sunset Boulevard.

The project, which was built by Barth Partners, sits on a roughly 16,000-square-foot site just north of the Micheltorena Stairs.  The five-story edifice includes 31 apartments above ground-floor restaurant space and a subterranean parking garage.

Designed by KFA Architecture, the contemporary podium-type building closely resembles conceptual renderings produced in 2018.  A series of setbacks are used to create amenity decks, including a courtyard with a swimming pool and space for outdoor dining.

Vica, which was billed as Silver Lake's first new condominiums in more than a decade at the time of its groundbreaking more than three years ago, opens as apartments.  A leasing website advertises a mix of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom floor plans, ranging between 465 and 2,095 square feet in size.

Rents at the property are advertised as ranging from $3,250 to $17,750 per month.

Barth Partners, which built Vica as a joint venture with Barry Developments, has previously built small lot houses and Silver Lake, and is planning a "brutalist" apartment building in West Hollywood.
