A short walk south of Metro's Vermont/Sunset Station, construction is complete for "The Wilder," a new multifamily residential development from Skya Ventures in East Hollywood.

Located at 1325 N. New Hampshire Avenue, the completed project consists of a seven-story building featuring 92 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments above 64 parking spaces on two basement levels.

Rents for the apartments, which range from 442 to 1,089 square feet in size, start at $2,390 per month. The most expensive units are priced at $4,195 per month.

Those prices will not apply to 11 of the new apartments, which Skya is required to set aside for rent as extremely low-income affordable for a period of 55 years. That set-aside is required due to the granting of Transit Oriented Communities incentives to permit a larger, denser development than allowed by local zoning rules.

KFA Architecture designed the The Wilder, which has a stucco exterior and amenities including an amenity deck, a rear yard, a courtyard, a rooftop deck, a community room, and a gym.

The project site abuts a duplex at 1335 N. New Hampshire Avenue which is poised to make way for a smaller 31-unit apartment complex, joining several other infill housing developments in the works surrounding the subway stop.

Skya Ventures, which is based in Reseda, has since moved on to a new project a smaller multifamily housing development with ground-floor retail now under construction in the Highland Park - Garvanza neighborhood.
