The project, named One Seven Eight for its address at 1515 W. 178th Street, is rising from a five-acre site located between Normandie and Western Avenues that was previously developed with a light industrial building.  Plans call for a series of three-story buildings containing a total of 114 townhomes.

According to the sales website, the for-sale units at One Seven Eight will include a mix of two-, three-, and four-bedroom floor plans, ranging from 1,528 to 1,801 square feet in size.  The townhomes will be arranged around a network of private streets, green spaces, and amenities accessible to residents and guests.

Sales prices for One Seven Eight are expected to start in the low $600,000s, with model units slated to open later this year.

The project is the latest in a series of new townhomes on the horizon for Gardena, including new developments from G3 Urban and KB Home on Rosecrans Avenue.

Melia Homes, which is based out of Irvine, is also behind plans to build 59 townhomes adjacent to a church in Anaheim.
