AHBE Landscape Architects has unveiled new renderings for a new pocket park in Chinatown, which will come to a currently vacant hillside lot flanked by Yale and Ord Streets.
The project, budgeted at $8.5 million, will add a half-acre of new green space on an L-shaped lot adjacent to the Chinatown Library.
Due to the elevation change across the property, the park would be broken down into multiple terrace levels featuring seating, landscaping and shade structures.
The Downtown News reports that construction of the park is expected to begin in January 2018.
