An official project website has unveiled a new look for Lumen West L.A., a rebrand and remodels of the 1980s Trident Center office complex.
The proposed development, which comes from developers McCarthy Cook and Northwood Investors, would add approximately 120,000 square feet of new office and retail space to the property at 11355 W. Olympic Boulevard. The existing property features twin 10-story buildings, comprising approximately 380,000 square feet of rentable office space, an amenity deck, and a dedicated parking structure.
Renderings of the Trident Center makeover, which is being designed by Gensler, portray new floor space bridging between the two towers, as well as atop an existing plaza space. A portion of the new construction would be capped with additional amenity space for tenants. Plans call for reskinning the entire complex with a glass exterior.
Additionally, Lumen reimagines the office complex with pedestrian-oriented retail space fronting Olympic Boulevard.
Past environmental reports have pointed to a construction timeline between 2018 and 2020.
