Last year, Union & Grattan Properties, LLC filed plans with the City of Los Angeles to convert the upper floors a five-story office building in Pico Union into a hotel. The website of Corbel Architects has now unveiled renderings for the proposed development.
The upper floors of the 1960s office building, which is located at 1543 W. Olympic Boulevard, will be converted into 200 guest rooms and amenity space. Existing retail and restaurant space on the mid-rise structure's ground level will remain in place.
Renderings show that the building would receive a facade upgrade and a new public art installation at the corner of Olympic and Grattan Street. Currently unused rooftop space would be converted to an amenity deck.
Additional details about the project are unclear.
