For the second time in three weeks, La Terra Development has a project scheduled for consideration at the Santa Monica Architectural Review Board.

The latest development, planned at the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Yale Street, would consist of a three-story building featuring 50 residential units above ground-floor retail uses and a two-level basement garage.  Other project elements would include a large patio and central courtyard space.

Tighe Architecture is designing the low-rise structure which would be wrapped with perforated metal screens punctuated with openings to provide recessed balconies on upper floors.

The development site is currently improved with a single-tenant retail building with attached surface parking.

La Terra and Tighe presented plans last month to the Architectural Review Board for a pair of similar three-story buildings at the intersection of Cloverfield and Broadway.  Those projects, when built, would create a combined 49 apartments.
