The owner of a property one block west of Fairfax Avenue hopes to redevelop the site with small lot homes.

The project, slated for a parcel at 528-530 N. Hayworth Avenue, calls for razing three existing units to replace them with six single-family residences.  Architectural plans show multiple two-bedroom floor plans, featuring a parking garage and common areas.

NE Designs is named as the project architect.  Renderings show contemporary three-story structures that appear as a single building.

The Mid City West Community Council's Planning and Land Use Committee will consider the project at its meeting this week.

Almost directly east of the project site, a mixed-income apartment complex is under construction along Fairfax.
