A staff report to the Los Angeles City Planning Commission has offered up renderings for developer Adolfo Suaya's proposed hotel north of Hollywood Boulevard.
The seven-story structure, slated for a parking lot at 1715-1721 N. Wilcox Avenue, will feature 133 guest rooms above ground-floor restaurant space and an underground parking garage. Plans also call for outdoor decks at the building's podium and roof levels, offering additional dining areas and outdoor seating.
Roschen Van Cleve Architects is designing the mid-rise edifice, which is portrayed with a contemporary feel and an exterior composed board formed concrete, terra cotta, plaster and tile.
The staff report, which recommends that the Commission approve the development, points to a roughly two-year construction timeline beginning in 2017 and ending in 2019.
CIM Group has proposed a similar hotel two blocks west on Hollywood Boulevard. One block south, the LeFrak Organization has proposed a 15-story apartment tower wrapping the Attie Building.
