Developer Holland Partner Group has progressed to the 14th floor above ground on the long-awaited second tower at the Apex property in South Park.

Located at the southeast corner of 9th and Figueroa Streets, the mixed-use development will eventually stand 28 stories and feature 341 apartments above 11,600 square feet of ground-floor commercial space.  Plans also call for a rooftop amenity deck, prominent digital signage and an underground parking garage.

Architecture firms Gensler and the Preston Partnership are designing the contemporary high-rise structure, which will resemble an adjacent tower built a decade ago by local developer Sonny Astani.

Completion of the tower is expected in late 2018.

Holland Partner Group is also in the midst of construction on two 24-story apartment buildings on Spring Street.
