Just west of the I-110 Freeway in Downtown Los Angeles, wood framing continues to take shape for the second half of the massive Ferrante apartment from developer Geoff Palmer.
The complex, which spans a 10-acre property at Temple Street and Beaudry Avenue, is comprised of a series of interconnecting seven-story structures in Italian Renaissance style which Palmer has become known for. When completed, Ferrante will feature a total of 1,150 apartments, 21,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, and parking for 2,600 vehicles.
Renderings and promotional materials show that the complex includes courtyards and pool decks, similar to other Palmer developments lining the 110 Freeway.
Due to the scale of the site, construction of Ferrante has been split into six overlapping phases. The first phase of the complex was completed in 2022.
Ferrante is the largest development in Palmer's "Renaissance Collection," which includes more than 5,000 apartments on sites lining the 110 Freeway between Downtown Los Angeles and University Park. However, the Beverly Hills-based developer has occasionally built in other styles, including projects such as Broadway Palace, a pair of brick-clad apartment buildings in the Fashion District, and a proposed 15-story tower with a modern exterior in Historic South-Central.
