A Canadian development firm has big plans for two properties in Koreatown.
Bastion Development Corporation, based out of Vancouver, filed plans yesterday for a mixed-use development at the corner of Olympic Boulevard and Manhattan Place. The proposed seven-story development - which would replace a medical office building, a surface parking lot and an undeveloped lot - calls for 114 apartments and 3,550 square feet of ground-level retail space.
Renderings portray the mid-rise structure as the first phase of a two-building complex known as the Village. A similar building would follow at a parking lot opposite Manhattan.
PK Architecture is designing the Village, which is portrayed with a pair of contemporary glass-and-metal structures.
Bastion is also behind plans for a residential-retail complex in Palms that would rise directly across the street from Sony Pictures Studios.
