The seven-story building, called 3980 Wilshire Boulevard, will contain 228 studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments above 17,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and a 340-car garage.

The podium-type building was designed by KTGY Architecture + Planning, and features an exterior of aluminum, plaster, and perforated metal screens.  Approved plans call for numerous open space amenities, including a roof deck, a fitness center, and a courtyard with a swimming pool.

General contractor Wilshire Construction, LP expects to complete construction in mid-2020.

The project site, located at the western gateway to the Koreatown neighborhood, is one of a slew of mixed-use projects now being developed by Jamison Services.

At the opposite side of the neighborhood at 2900 Wilshire Boulevard, Hankey Capital and Jamison have partnered on the development of a 25-story apartment tower.
