Located on the former site of a small commercial building at 905-909 S. Vermont Avenue, the project consists of a seven-story edifice which will feature 67 apartments above ground-floor commercial space and a subterranean parking garage.

EGC Real Estate Group's is the developer of the project, which is designed in accordance with the  Transit Oriented Communities guidelines, which permits larger buildings than zoning rules allow if a certain number of units are set aside as deed-restricted affordable housing.

A landing page on the company's website names the project Verwood, a portmanteau of its nearby cross streets.   Rendering of the project, designed by 64North, depict the finished product as a contemporary podium-type building with cantilevered balconies lined with plants.
