A pair of small residential buildings near the Vermont/Sunset subway station in East Hollywood could make way for a larger apartment complex.

Yesterday, an entity affiliated with the Reseda-based developer Skya Ventures filed plans with the City of Los Angeles to construct a seven-story, 84-foot-tall building at 1317-1325 N. New Hampshire Avenue.  Plans call for 92 apartments - including 11 affordable housing units - replacing an existing duplex and fourplex.

Requested entitlements include Transit Oriented Communities incentives, including a reduction in required open space.

Additional details regarding the project are not apparent based on its case filing.

The project comes on the heels of modernization projects slated for several of the hospitals surrounding the Vermont/Sunset Metro station, as well as plans filed just last month for an eight-story development a block east on Vermont Avenue.
