A 102-year-old home near the intersection of Western Avenue and Beverly Boulevard in Koreatown is primed for redevelopment, per an application submitted earlier this month to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.

The proposed project, which would rise from a single parcel located at 203 N. Oxford Avenue, calls for razing the existing structure to make way for a new seven-story edifice featuring 30 one- and two-bedroom apartments atop a semi-subterranean parking garage with capacity for 16 vehicles.

The development applicant, an entity affiliated with Los Angeles-based FEI Enterprises, is seeking the approval of Transit Oriented Communities incentives permitting a larger structure with less on-site parking than required by zoning rules.  In exchange, three of the proposed apartments would be set aside as affordable housing at the extremely low-income level.

KSK Design, Inc. is serving as project architect.  A rendering depicts the building as a slim podium-type apartment complex capped with a rooftop amenity deck.
