California Landmark Group has cleared a 2.3-acre property in Del Rey, the first step towards the construction of a new mixed-use complex.
The T-shaped property, located at 4040 Del Rey Avenue, will consist of a six-story building featuring 230 residential units, in addition to commercial office space, retail and a parking garge. The project was approved with density bonus incentives, in exchange for setting aside units as affordable housing.
PK Architecture is designing the mid-rise complex, which will feature an exterior of wood, aluminum panels, glass and stucco.
An initial study published by the City of Los Angelse in 2016 pointed to a 28-month construction timeline for the project, placing its completion date at some point in early 2020.
CLG recently completed the R3 apartments one block east, and are halfway through construction on the D1 one block south.
