With protective fencing and heavy equipment now on site, construction is beginning for a $225-million office complex on the Culver City-Playa Vista border.

The Entrada site, located at 6163 Centinela Avenue, was purchased in late 2018 by a partnership between LPC West and Broad Street Principal Investments.  The property, currently a 3.7-acre parking lot, is entitled for the construction of an 11-story, 150-foot-tall building featuring approximately 280,000 square feet of office space, ground-floor retail, and parking for 1,000 vehicles.

Designed by Gensler, the mid-rise building would include multiple private and shared balconies - including a 15,000-square-foot sky deck - in addition to amenities including a fitness center, and a conference room.

The project will also share some facilities with an adjacent DoubleTree hotel, which is now undergoing a $35-million renovation.

Completion of The Entrada is expected in 2021.

The project site is located less than a half-mile north of 6711 Sepulveda Boulevard, where the Hanover Company has broken ground on an eight-story, 180-unit apartment complex.
