Just south of Venice Boulevard in Culver City, a 1940s triplex has made way for the construction of a new condominium complex.
The project from local developer Wylan James, located at 3808 College Avenue, consists of a two-story structure which will feature six townhome-style dwellings above subterranean parking for 13 vehicles.
London- and Los Angeles-based architecture firm KAP is designing the new development, which will consist entirely of three-bedroom units. The completed project is depicted in renderings with a contemporary look and an exterior of stucco and wood siding.
A handful of similar housing developments are slated for nearby sites to the south of Venice Boulevard, which serves as the border between Culver City and the Palms neighborhood.
Wylan James has previously developed similar for-sale housing projects in Culver City, and is also building a 17-unit apartment complex along Jefferson Boulevard in Playa Vista.
