In Mar Vista, a 1950s fourplex has been felled for a new small lot subdivision.

The project, located at the southwest corner of McLaughlin Avenue and Charnock Road, will consist of six single-family dwellings, in a mix of three- and four-bedroom layouts. Each will include a two-car garage at street level.

Venice-based architecture firm Design Universal is designing the new buildings, which will stand four stories in height.

The property was entitled for development by Lewis Futterman.
