In Silver Lake, a pair of 1930s residential buildings located a half-mile east of the Rowena Reservoir have made for a new development of small lot homes.
The project, approved by Los Angeles Planning officials in 2020 for a site at 2820 W. Rowena Avenue, consists of six single-family dwellings arranged in a row. Each is expected to feature three bedrooms, a two-car garage, and a rooftop deck.
Architect Tracy A. Stone is designing the homes, each of which stands three stories in height and will be clad in stucco and horizontal siding.
City records list the owner and applicant behind the project as 2820 Rowena, Inc., a San Gabriel-based entity managed by Ji Hsiao Chung. The land last sold for $2.35 million in 2018.
