Located on a roughly one-acre site at 5181 W. Adams Boulevard, will the project will eventually consist of a six-story building featuring 115 apartments studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments above a podium structure containing 46 parking stalls and ground-floor retail.

Plans call for 13 deed-restricted very low-income units, making the project eligible for development incentives allowing a taller, denser building than the site is zoned for.

Bittoni Architects is the project's design architect, with AFCO Design serving as executive architect. Renderings depict the finished product as a contemporary low-rise structure with a U-shaped footprint above its podium level.  Plans call for a blue and white-colored exterior, wrapping around a third-story pool deck.

The project is among the largest of a recent slate of multifamily residential developments to rise along Adams Boulevard, the bulk of which are being built by Mid-Wilshire-based real estate investment firm CIM Group.

4D Development's other projects include the E. On Grand apartments in Downtown Los Angeles and a proposed residential-retail building near the Vermont/Beverly Metro station.
