At its meeting this week, the Palms Neighborhood Council's Land Use Committee will review a proposal to construct a multifamily residential development at the corner of Woodbine Street and Keystone Avenue.

The project, which would replace a single-family home and two duplexes at 10522-10528 Woodbine, calls for the construction of a six-story building featuring 33 rental apartments above a single level of basement parking for 42 vehicles.  The new development would offer a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments - including four reserved for extremely-low-income households - with amenities such as a community room and a roof deck.

E.D.D.G, Inc., the Woodland Hills-based firm behind the project, is pursuing entitlements through the Transit Oriented Communities guidelines.  Requested incentives include an increase in allowable height and a decrease in required side-yard setbacks and open space.

The developer is also behind plans to construct a five-story apartment building with ground-floor retail space in Downtown Santa Monica.
