The project, which replaced two single-family homes between 7th and 8th Streets, consists of a six-story edifice which will include 65 studio and one-bedroom apartments upon completion.  Seven of the apartments - which will average 451 square feet in size - are to be set aside as deed-restricted affordable housing.

Designed by Andmore Partners, the podium-type structure is depicted as a contemporary apartment block clad in painted stucco.  Plans call for on-site amenities such as a lounge, a fitness center, and a rooftop deck.

The more than $15-million project, which is being developed by George and Michael Nazzal through the entity St. Andrews Place, LLC, was slated for completion by May 2021 at the time construction began.

The development site is located just north of the 8th Street corridor, where a handful of larger mixed-use housing developments are now planned or under construction between Western and Vermont Avenues.
