Renderings have emerged for a proposed hotel that would rise a half-mile north of the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The project, slated for a .79-acre site at 1919-1925 N. Wilcox Avenue, would consist of a six-story structure featuring 159 guest rooms and a combined 2,900 square feet of internal bar and restaurant space. Plans call for a two-level underground garage capable of accommodating up to 148 vehicles at one time.
According to designs from architecture firm Gene Fong Associates, the low-rise building would offer a second-story outdoor lounge featuring a pool and spa deck. Other proposed amenities include a computer lounge and a fitness center.
The hotel is being developed by A.J. Khair, a real estate and construction firm based out of West Hollywood.
Construction of the six-story complex will require several zoning variances from the City of Los Angeles, as well as the demolition of an automobile repair shop which currently occupies the project site. Further details, including the project's timeline, are currently unclear.
