Two years after we last dropped by (and three-and-a-half after breaking ground), the wood-and-concrete frame of Skye at Warner Center is finally complete in Canoga Park.
The project, a joint venture between Adler Realty Investments, Quillin Group and Strategic Realty Holdings, consists of a six-story edifice located at 20944 Vanowen Street, where it replaced an automobile repair shop. Plans call for a total of 37 one- and two-bedroom apartments above basement parking at completion.
Daryoush Safai designed the contemporary podium-type building, which will include boxy protrusions, cantilevered rail balconies, and flourishes of orange, in a similar vein to some of the architect's other buildings in the Los Angeles area.
At the time of its groundbreaking in 2018, completion of Skye was expected by late 2019.
Adler, which is based in Warner Center, is not done with the neighborhood. The company has secured approvals to redevelop the office park that it now comes into a 24-acre complex consisting of housing, offices, retail, and a hotel.
