A small apartment building is set to rise from a property at 1443 18th Street in Santa Monica.

The project, which went before the Santa Monica Architectural Review Board in September, would consist of a two-story building featuring 12 residential units and parking for 13 vehicles.

Renderings show a contemporary design with an exterior of smooth plaster accented with phenolic plywood.

City records list the project's architect and developer as the Santa Monica-based firm Archwest Developments, and its owner as Watt Companies.
