A 1930s single-family home near Washington Boulevard in Mid-City is slated to be razed and redeveloping with small hot houses, according to an application filed with the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.

The project, proposed for a parcel at 4523 W. 18th Street, calls for clearing the existing two-bedroom house to make way for the construction of five new townhomes. One home would include a junior accessory dwelling unit.

Plans show a collection of four-story homes arranged in a row, each including two parking spaces.

City records list David Kashani of Cohen & Kashani, LLC as the project applicant. Mehran Studio is serving as architect and representative.

City records indicate that the project will employ the provisions of SB 684, which streamlines the approval of small lot-type projects statewide.
