Construction is underway for a unique small lot subdivision in the Del Rey neighborhood, repurposing a long, narrow strip of land just off of Slauson Avenue.
Located directly along the Sepulveda Channel - a tributary of Ballona Creek - the project will consist of 12 single family residences along with greenery and open space. The collection of three story houses will span between 2,089 and 2,507 square feet in size, each offering three-to-four bedrooms above a two-car garage.
A rendering of the project - which is being designed by the architecture firm L.A. Group - portrays a set of boxy, contemporary homes.
A timeline for the project is currently unclear.
The development site previously operated as a nursery, although it has been vacant since 2013.
