A new development of single-family homes is now rising from a long-empty lot in the Mid-Wilshire community.

The property, located at the southwest corner of Olympic Boulevard and Cochran Avenue, was approved for the construction of five townhomes with the City of Los Angeles' small lot subdivision ordinance in 2016.

The houses, each of which stands four stories in height, are primarily clad in stucco.

City records list the project's contractor as Arcadia-based Assen Homes.
