A commercial building and surface parking lot in Echo Park have been demolished, clearing the way for the development of 18 small lot homes.

The .61-acre project site, located at the corner of Glendale Boulevard and Clifford Street, will yield a collection of three-story dwellings, each of which will feature two-car garages and roof decks.

City records indicate that Santa Monica-based JTD Architects is designing the project.
