A 1940s single-family dwelling near the I-405 Freeway in Van Nuys could make way for new housing, according to an application submitted to the City of Los Angeles.

The proposed development, slated for a roughly 29,000-square-foot property at 6839 Haskell Avenue, calls for the construction of 11 single-family dwellings via the small lot subdivision.  AMArchitect is designing the project, which would consist entirely of three-story structures capped by rooftop decks.

Along the western property line - facing Whitman Avenue - the development would include two traditional single-family dwellings, both of which would be accompanied by an 800-square-foot accessory dwelling unit (ADU) and a 500-square-foot junior ADU.

The full project would include 17 dwellings.

City records list the project applicant at CFC-Haskell, LLC, a Temple City-based entity managed by Eddy Wan.
