A long empty lot just north of the Cabrillo Way Marina in San Pedro could finally be up for development with housing, according to an application recently submitted to the L.A. Department of Planning.
The proposed project, slated for a roughly half-acre site located at 1661 Crescent Avenue and 1627 Beacon Street, calls for subdividing the property to permit the construction of 11 single-family homes. Plans also for 25 parking spaces, inclusive of three guest parking spots.
City records also indicate that one of the new homes would be set aside as affordable housing at an unspecified income level.
R&D Architects is designing the new houses, which would range up to two stories in height.
Rupesh Lunia of Redondo 100, LLC is listed as the owner and applicant behind the proposed development.
