Less than a block north of Pico Boulevard in West Los Angeles, a small mixed-use project featuring multifamily housing and ground-floor retail has reached its peak.
Located on a roughly 13,000-square-foot site at 2336 S. Westwood Boulevard, the project consists of a three-story edifice which will feature 24 apartments above street-fronting commercial space. According to permits issued by the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety, the apartment complex sits atop a basement parking garage.
City records list Pasadena-based Arbel-Henderson & Associates, Inc. as both architect and project applicant.
A leasing profile for the property's 2,388 square feet of ground-floor retail space advertises an anticipated completion date in March 2023.
The new apartment complex is rising from a property located just one block north of the former Westside Pavilion shopping mall, which Hudson Pacific Properties is converting into a Google-anchored office campus.
Other projects slated for the surrounding neighborhood include a proposed 50-unit apartment complex with ground-floor commercial space at 2301 S. Westwood Boulevard.
