Eight months after first checked in, a new office complex from developer Redcar Properties and architecture firm RAC Design Build is starting to come together in Culver City's Hayden Tract.
Located at 3516 Schaefer Street, the project is highlighted by a new three-story structure that will feature roughly 9,900 square feet of office space. Combined with an existing building located at 3520 Schaefer, the property will offer 17,200 square feet of offices for rent, as well as stacked parking for 27 cars.
RAC's design adds an airy, low-rise structure to the Hayden Tract site, using large operable windows and doors to create an indoor-outdoor environment. The building will feature a sloping roof line, and an exterior of metal, glass, concrete, and wood.
The project's location on eastern edge of Culver City places it midway between two hubs of activity centered on Metro stops. To the west at Culver City Station, Warner Bros. Discovery and Apple have established large offices, while to the east at La Cienega/Jefferson Station, several similar large blocks office space are planned or under construction. Among the most visible projects now underway is the Eric Owen Moss-designed Wrapper tower.
Redcar is developing a number of office buildings across Los Angeles County, including proposed and under construction buildings in Santa Monica, Chinatown, and West Adams.
