A half-year after our last update, non-profit organization Wellnest has completed vertical construction of a new permanent supportive housing complex in the Florence community.
The Nest on Florence, located at the former site of an auto repair garage at 410-432 E. Florence Avenue, is a five-story structure which will feature 50 studio and one-bedroom apartments reserved for transition-age youth, in addition to one manager's unit.
The Measure HHH-funded development was slated for completion in 18 months at the time of its groundbreaking.

The development site is located one block east of the intersection of Florence and San Pedro Street, where construction is also underway for a 31-unit affordable housing development.
