Construction has commenced for a new permanent supportive housing complex in Wilmington, according to recent social media posts.

Safe Harbor II, which is being developed by Holos Communities, will rise from a property located at 728 Lagoon Avenue. Plans call for the construction of a four-story building featuring 40 apartments, including 39 units of supportive housing.

According to a landing page on the Holos Communities website, the project will also include three courtyards, a  garden, a community room, supportive service offices, and on-site property management services.

LOHA is designing the project, which is shown in a rendering with an exterior of grey and white.

The project is a companion to a similar affordable housing development from the same project team located nearby at 828 Anaheim Street, which would include 50 apartments.
