A Hilton-branded hotel is set to rise from an empty lot across the street from Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, according to a new environmental report.
The proposed Tempo by Hilton, planned at 181 Colorado Place, would consist of a four-story building featuring 93 guest rooms above a basement level. Plans also call for 18 parking spaces in a surface lot at the rear of the site and an outdoor patio.
The current project - with applicants listed as BG Property Investments, LLC and 181 Colorado, LLC - is a revision of an already-approved plan for the site which had previously called for the construction of a Hotel Indigo on the property.
DesignCell is designing the Tempo hotel, which is described by the City of Arcadia's website having "mid-century modern architecture with high quality exterior elements and modern amenities."
Construction of the hotel is expected to take slightly more than 16 months.
The Tempo would be the second Hilton hotel in the near vicinity of Santa Anita Park, joining a now under-construction project at 123 Huntington Drive.
