This edition of Throwback Thursday shows the difference that four years can make for one of the most iconic views of the Los Angeles skyline.
The first image, captured by architectural photographer Hunter Kerhart in October 2013, shows Downtown in the early stages of its ongoing building boom. At the time, the only visible change since the financial crisis was the joint Courtyard Marriott and Residence Inn hotel tower adjacent to L.A. Live.
The after image, taken in October 2017, is highlighted by the completed Wilshire Grand, as well as ongoing construction at Circa, Oceanwide Plaza and 1120 S. Grand Avenue.
Imagine what things will look like in another four years.
