This week's Throwback Thursday shows three years of change in South Park, arguably the epicenter of Downtown Los Angeles' most recent construction boom.

The first image, captured by architectural photographer Hunter Kerhart at the LEVEL Furnished Living tower in October 2014, offers an unimpeded view of Staples Center and the Los Angeles Convention Center.  A handful of seven-story apartment buildings - including 1000 Grand and G12 - are under construction in the foreground.

The latter image, taken exactly three years later in October 2017, depicts Circa and Oceanwide Plaza soaring above Figueroa Street.  Three blocks east, TEN50 is complete at Grand Avenue, and a 38-story tower from Mack Urban and AECOM Capital is rising.
