This installation of Throwback Thursday showcases the Vibiana Lofts, Holland Partner Group's new mixed-use development between the Civic Center and Little Tokyo.

Located at 222 S. Main Street, adjacent to its namesake - the former Cathedral of St. Vibiana - the project consists of an eight-story building featuring 237 apartments above 4,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space.

The before image, captured in September 2015, depicted the start of vertical construction on the $90-million development.

The latter, taken earlier this week, shows that exterior work is now wraping up for the podium-type building.

Togawa Smith Martin designed the residential-retail complex, which is on track to open later this year.
