A mostly vacant site near the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook is slated for the development of commercial offices and retail space, according to plans submitted earlier this month to the City of Los Angeles.

The nearly 3.5-acre site, located at 6024 W. Jefferson Boulevard,  could see the construction of two office buildings, as well as restaurant and retail establishments.  The proposed office buildings would rise 50 and 85 feet in height, while potential retail offerings could include a drive-through restaurant, according to a project description.

The development site is located just east of a 1950s brick warehouse that is now being repositioned as 14,000 square feet of offices.

Elsewhere on Jefferson Boulevard, developer Samitaur Constructs is building an office campus that will feature a 50,000-square-foot warehouse and a potential 17-story tower.
