Completion is expected in Fall 2025 for a new USC medical office building in Pasadena.
Keck Medicine's new outpost at 590 S. Fair Oaks Avenue, under construction since 2023, consists of a four-story building featuring 100,000 square feet of space atop basement parking for 212 vehicles.
“This new location — our largest and most advanced outpatient setting — will bring even more of our research-based clinical care to the Pasadena area, where many of our patients live and work,” said Keck Medicine chief executive officer Rod Hanners. “The new location offers state-of-the-art technology and access to acclaimed specialists who translate medical discoveries into groundbreaking treatments and cures.”
SmithGroup designed the new building, which is composed of steel and has a white exterior. A news release describes the structure as having an "airy, nature-filled environment" incorporating floor-to-ceiling windows on all levels and a landscaped terrace at the rooftop.
The building will provide an airy, nature-filled environment designed to promote well-being. Each of the location’s four floors will be suffused with light from floor-to-ceiling windows, showcasing views of the San Gabriel Mountains. On the top floor, a fully landscaped terrace will open onto a healing garden.
A similar medical office building is also under construction a few blocks to the south at 758-766 Fair Oaks Avenue.
