A Los Angeles-based real estate development firm is planning new apartments in Hollywood, according to an application submitted recently to Department of City Planning.
The project, slated for a property at 1400 N. Highland Avenue, would replace a vacant auto repair shop with a six-story structure sitting atop basement parking. Plans call for a total of 49 residential units with approximately 800 square feet of ground-floor retail space and 100 vehicle spaces.
OfficeUntitled is designing the contemporary low-rise structure, which would offer a mix of three-, four-, and five-bedroom dwellings. Architectural plans show a podium-type structure with a central courtyard and a rooftop amenity deck.
The entity behind listed as the project applicant is a limited liability company affiliated with Los Angeles-based Elk Development.
The proposed development would rise directly across the street from 1411 Highland, a similar mixed-use apartment building completed in 2017.
