Irvine-based developer Brandywine Homes is planning a gated townhouse community near Cal State University Dominguez Hills, according to an initial study published by the City of Carson.

The approximately 1.57-acre property, located at 1007 E. Victoria Street, is slated for the construction of 38 townhomes with common amenities and associated parking.  Renderings depict a series of contemporary two- and three-story buildings, clad with a mix of stucco and fiber cement panels.

The proposed development, designed by KTGY Architecture + Planning, would offer a mix of two-, three-, and four-bedroom floor plans, each of which would feature private two-car garages.  A total of 96 parking spaces are planned.

According to the project's initial study, construction is expected to occur over an approximately 18-month period beginning in October 2019.

Brandywine is also in the midst of construction at a similar 23-home development in Buena Park.

Across the street, Cal State University Dominguez Hills is now in the process of updating its campus master plan to allow for the addition of new housing and retail, as well as educational facilities and office space.
