Van Nuys will see the start of construction for a new mixed-use complex in the first quarter of 2018, according to a statement from developer Blue Arch Investments.
The project, located at 7111 N. Sepulveda Boulevard, would replace a shuttered grocery store with a six-story building featuring 180 apartments above 4,750 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. Plans call for a mixture of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units, including 20 that are priced for very low income households.
Architect Daryoush Safai is designing the mid-rise development which would feature an exterior of white, orange and black.
In addition to the project at 7111 Sepulveda, Blue Arch is also in the midst of construction on a smaller apartment complex on Hartford Avenue on the western perimeter of Downtown Los Angeles.
